Dave is a Professor of Planning at the University of Liverpool.

 
 

He has longstanding teaching and research interests in planning reform (within the UK and in international contexts), rural planning and environmental management.

Dave is passionate about the multifunctional benefits that woodland development can bring to an area, and has been a Trustee of the Community Forest Trust since 2011.

Dave has over 35 years of experience in higher education, including working at the University of Central England and Chancellor College (Zomba), part of the University of Malawi. During this time, he has extensively engaged with practice and has supported many regional rural and environmental networks and groups.

He is passionate about the multifunctional benefits that woodland development can bring to an area, and has been a Trustee of the Community Forest Trust since 2011.
