Alison Ball - Chair

Alison Ball, trustee (or chair of the Board) is the Director of Social Sustainability, Infrastructure and Built Environment for
BAM UK & Ireland

Alison’s environmental career has included being Director at the award-winning social enterprise FRC Group and roles with Friends of the Earth UK and the Peak District National Park.

Alison is passionate about using the power of quality blue-green infrastructure to transform places, improve health, happiness and wellbeing and strengthen and enhance communities.

Alison’s previous board experience includes Liverpool City Region’s Local Nature Partnership, Forum for the Future the international sustainability charity, Centrica’s Ignite Social Enterprise Investment Committee, and the National Wildflower Centre.

She is passionate about using the power of quality blue-green infrastructure to transform places, improve health, happiness and wellbeing and strengthen and enhance communities.

Happiest when gardening, cycling, walking in woodland or messing about in water. Her favourite tree is the Birch, a pioneer, tough, delicate silhouette and they make great canoes!
